Due to the demands of COVID-19, our team are experiencing unprecedented opportunities to proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ through digital means. With these opportunities come the additional costs of audio/visual equipment for our evangelists to minister from home, increased computing power and internet bandwidth, and added editing/production costs.
We have a goal to raise £40,000 toward this digital transformation, and one dear couple who are friends of the Zacharias Trust have already committed £20,000 toward this endeavour. Will you help us to raise the remainder of our goal?

What is Gift Aid?

Charities take your donation (which is money you’ve already paid tax on), and then reclaim tax on its ‘gross’ equivalent.

In practice, this means that if you give £100 using Gift Aid, that gift is worth £125 to us; the added £25 being relief from HMRC.

We will also treat all donations that you have made for the past four years and all donations you make in the future as Gift Aid donations, until you tell us otherwise.

Who can use Gift Aid?
UK Taxpayers can tick the box, as long as they pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.

Benefits to higher-rate taxpayers
If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20% (i.e. the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%). So, for the gift of £100 mentioned above, you are eligible to reclaim £25 in your tax returns.

Non taxpayers
If you do not pay tax in the UK, you should not use Gift Aid.

Terms and Conditions
By ticking the box above, you confirm that you are paying an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6th April one year to 5th April the next) that is at least equal to the tax that RZIM Zacharias Trust will reclaim on your donations in the appropriate tax year. You also confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations, then it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
