We have a new and exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic assistant to join our UK-based team. The role is to develop and assist with projects related to RZIM’s ministry to the business community and to provide a personal support service to our Speaker who focuses on this audience. As a successful applicant, you will play a key role in project managing events aimed at the business audience, as well as providing administrative, communication and other support to the Business-Focused Christian Speaker. You will also have the opportunity to become a member of a stimulating Christian community, where you will take an active part in the prayer life of the team. Your main duties would include:
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with key contacts, including those relating to business based ministry.
- Working closely with the media and communications team to provide social media and web content and the management of promotional and marketing materials in connection with our business oriented ministry.
- Coordinating travel plans for the Business-Focused Speaker as well as a responsibility for associated administration, including finances.
- Basic research on topics as requested and agreed by the Business-Focused RZIM Apologist.
To be successful in this role you will be someone who enjoys administrative work, you will need to use your well-developed interpersonal skills to achieve desired outcomes in business meetings and you must have a high level of attention to detail. You will be a team player with a flexible attitude, but will also have the ability to work autonomously too.
You will have substantial experience working in an office or corporate environment with particular experience of liaison with Senior Executives in the business sector. You are likely to be educated to degree level or equivalent, proficient in managing significant levels of written and verbal communication at a range of organisational levels. You will display excellent interpersonal skills. Experience of taking initiative, managing your own workload, as well as proficiency in diary management are essential. Experience of using social media in a work context and creative ability would also be a distinct advantage. The role requires the willingness to work outside normal office hours on a fairly regular basis, travelling domestically and occasionally overseas where required.
