Job Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity for a professional assistant to join our UK-based team. The role is to provide a pivotal support service to Tutors of The Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics (OCCA) and RZIM Apologists.  OCCA and RZIM Zacharias Trust, are a UK registered Christian charity with a friendly, welcoming culture and a warm working atmosphere.  Our organisational vision and mission is to help the thinker believe and the believer to think.

As a successful applicant, you would be providing administrative support, bringing a high level of competency and professionalism to diary management, communication and other support.   You will also have the opportunity to become a member of a stimulating Christian community.  Your key responsibilities would include:

  • Day-to-day diary planning and management, together with coordinating all travel plans (international and domestic), venues and speaking itineraries for the OCCA Tutors, as well as a responsibility for associated administration.
  • Providing administrative and communications support for the OCCA Tutors and, acting as the first point of contact via email, telephone and in person.
  • Assisting the OCCA Manager with seasonal administrative support when required.
  • Carry out research support for articles, social media etc.
  • Aiding the OCCA Tutors with preparation for RZIM/OCCA speaking engagements, and events.

To be successful in this role you will be someone who really enjoys administrative work, you will need to use your well-developed organisational skills and experience of dealing with conflicting and rapidly changing priorities and you must have a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.

You will also have proven experience working in an office administration environment (or similar role).  You will be educated to degree level or equivalent, be a team player with a flexible attitude, but will also have the ability to work autonomously too.  Experience of diary management (using outlook), coordinating meetings and organising logistics is highly desirable.  You will have an understanding of academic settings and will be experienced in (or willing to learn) basic website editing and use of social media, blogs etc. Experience of carrying out research would also be a distinct advantage. Willingness to travel and holding a driving license is desirable.
