Job Page – Administrative Assistant (OCCA)

Administrative Assistant (OCCA)

Starting salary £18k to £21k per annum plus benefits (depending on experience)

Oxford (37.5 hours per week)

We have a wonderful opportunity for an efficient administrator to join our UK based team. The role is to provide vital administrative support for the Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics Team (OCCA, our training department).

Zacharias Trust is a UK registered Christian charity with a friendly, welcoming culture and a warm working atmosphere. Our organisational vision is “to help the thinker believe and the believer to think”.

It’s a role which requires a team player who is able to work collaboratively, but one who has the ability to work with independence and initiative too – dealing proactively and confidently with a range of people and tasks. Typical duties will be varied and would include administrative and practical assistance with the OCCA events programme, our admissions process, student visas, and answering general enquiries. All of which makes this an excellent career development opportunity for an enthusiastic individual with flexible attitude and the right skill set.

Demonstrably IT literate and with well-developed MS Office skills, educated to at least A level standard (or equivalent), success will not only depend on your excellent communication and interpersonal skills that build highly-effective working relationships within the team, but also on your efficient organisation, attention to detail and prioritisation skills. You will also be in sympathy with the Trust’s key aims, values and ethos.

And in return for your skills and commitment? We offer a friendly and welcoming team atmosphere in refurbished offices in Oxford, where we would offer excellent benefits including a generous pension scheme, childcare vouchers, death in service and a cycle to work scheme.  Click here for more information about our work benefits.

Please note: as a result of our Christian ethos, this post is covered by an Occupational Requirement (OR) under the Equality Act 2010. The successful applicant will be expected to be a practising Christian and to clearly demonstrate a personal commitment to the mission, principles, values and practices of the Trust (including taking an active part in the devotional life of the Trust). Applicants will also be expected to provide proof of their right to live and work in the UK as part of the selection process.
