Help ‘the thinker believe and the believer think’

Because of your support our team is able to travel around the globe sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and clearing the road to faith of intellectual obstacles by taking objections and questions seriously. Our team of speakers engage on the frontlines of business, education, politics and media as well as providing training and resourcing the local church in apologetics and evangelism.

Your giving not only enables our speakers to engage in these multitude of contexts, but also underwrites the cost of the numerous training events we hold such as our Training Weekends and ‘Reboot’, our day conference for youth, encouraging them to have confidence in their faith so as to share it with friends.

Furthermore, we are committed to raising up the next generation of evangelist-apologists through our Oxford Centre for Christian Apologetics which trains and equips those with a call to share the gospel of Christ. Through studying with us for a year we invest in their intellectual, spiritual and practical gifts in order to release them to fulfil God’s calling across the globe and in a whole variety of contexts. Our students are able to receive this training partly through scholarships made possible through the generous giving of our supporters.

What is Gift Aid?

Charities take your donation (which is money you’ve already paid tax on), and then reclaim tax on its ‘gross’ equivalent.

In practice, this means that if you give £100 using Gift Aid, that gift is worth £125 to us; the added £25 being relief from HMRC.

We will also treat all donations that you have made for the past four years and all donations you make in the future as Gift Aid donations, until you tell us otherwise.

Who can use Gift Aid?
UK Taxpayers can tick the box, as long as they pay an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6 April to 5 April) that is at least equal to the amount of tax that we will reclaim on your gifts for that tax year.

Benefits to higher-rate taxpayers
If you pay tax at the higher rate, you can reclaim tax relief on your gross donation at 20% (i.e. the difference between the higher rate of tax at 40% and the basic rate at 20%). So, for the gift of £100 mentioned above, you are eligible to reclaim £20 in your tax returns.

Non taxpayers
If you do not pay tax in the UK, you should not use Gift Aid.

Terms and Conditions
By ticking the box above, you confirm that you are paying an amount of Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax for each tax year (6th April one year to 5th April the next) that is at least equal to the tax that RZIM Zacharias Trust will reclaim on your donations in the appropriate tax year. You also confirm that you are a UK taxpayer and understand that if you pay less Income Tax and/or Capital Gains Tax in the current tax year than the amount of Gift Aid claimed on all your donations, then it is your responsibility to pay any difference.
