Over 100 talks in one week | Pray for South Africa

The ‘Festival of Thought’ is heading to South Africa in mid April, with more than 100 events taking place over one week in the two major cities of Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as in Stellenbosch, Pretoria and Potchefstroom. This week-long festival is probably the largest-ever undertaking by the RZIM team in terms of speaking engagements in one country in any given week in its 34-year history.

The primary aim of the week (15th – 22nd April inclusive) is to give people in business an opportunity to explore at a deeper level the kind of questions that they wish could be discussed in the workplace – issues such as integrity, faith, culture, identity, and values.

More than thirty events will take place in the offices of key corporate organisations, as they embrace the opportunity for employees and others to think through ‘big questions’ of life and faith and how these impact the workplace. Companies participating include JP Morgan, Deloitte, Nedbank, YPO, King Price Insurance, Old Mutual and many more.

Michael Ramsden and Amy Orr-Ewing, together with a team of RZIM speakers from within Africa headed by Mahlatse Mashua, will all be speaking throughout the week.

Many of the next generation of the country’s business leaders are currently studying at leading universities, so this Festival of Thought will include talks throughout the week on several campuses including UCT in Cape Town, Wits in Johannesburg, North West University in Potchefstroom, and Stellenbosch University.

These events will also be complemented by talks in many major churches on the Sundays either side of the week.

Please pray for the team speaking in so many different contexts. You can see the main talks listed here: festivalofthought.buzz Please help support this major initiative. We simply cannot do this without your support. www.zachariastrust.org/donate. Thank you.
